From No Voice To Diva Energy: Inside My Private Mentorship For Business Owners Who Secretly Want To Sing

If you run a business, you’re probably used to being the capable one.

You make decisions. You hold space for clients. You’re the one people come to when they need something done.

But when it comes to your voice, there’s a different story running.

Maybe you’ve always wanted to sing, and you’ve dabbled here and there… but somewhere along the way, your confidence dropped.
Maybe you used to sing in choirs, bands or school shows, and then business and “real life” took over.

Or maybe you’re the one who quietly pulls back when everyone else sings “Happy Birthday” because, at some point, someone told you to shut up, mime, or “just mouth the words”.

You’ve built something impressive in your work.
But this one part of you feels shut down, underused, or stuck in an old story.

At the same time, there’s a pull you can’t quite ignore:

- You imagine what it would feel like to actually sing out, not hide.
- You wonder if you might have more voice than you were ever allowed to show.
- You’re curious what could happen in your life and business if you felt that level of presence and power in your body.

This is the gap The Diva Energy Private Mentorship is designed to fill.

In this post, I want to walk you through what Diva Energy actually means, why I now work with only 10 singers at a time, and how to know if this mentorship might be the right next step for you.

What I mean by “Diva Energy” (and what I don’t)

Let’s start with a clarification.

When I say Diva Energy, I don’t mean being demanding, dramatic, or over the top for the sake of it.

Diva Energy is:

- The feeling of walking into a room or onto a stage knowing you belong there
- Letting your voice be honest and expressive not just technically “correct”
- Being willing to take up space, be seen, and be heard, without apologising for it
- Trusting your preparation and your instrument so deeply that you can actually enjoy performing

It’s the difference between:

> “I hope this goes okay…”
> vs
> “I’m here. I’m ready. Let’s go.”

Most of the business owners and professionals I meet are far closer to this than they realise.
What’s missing isn’t talent or effort. It’s a container and method that support the transformation from “I keep my voice small” to full Diva Energy.

That’s where the mentorship comes in.

Why I created The Diva Energy Private Mentorship

For years, I taught in more traditional ways: one‑off lessons, group programmes, workshops.

They were valuable, but I kept seeing the same pattern:

- Singers made progress, but then plateaued.
- They had one big breakthrough, then slid back into old habits without support.
- We’d do powerful work in a lesson, but there was no deeper container to hold the emotional, physical and artistic changes they were trying to make.

The people who really transformed were the ones I ended up working more closely with:
the ones who had a big performance or project on the horizon, who stuck around, who allowed themselves to be seen on the days it wasn’t going well.

I realised those singers didn’t just need “more lessons”.

They needed:

- Consistent, personalised coaching on voice and performance
- Nervous system and mindset support so their body could actually cooperate under pressure
- A clear arc toward a real performance or personal goal
- And a relationship with a mentor who knew their history, their habits, and their artistic ambitions

That’s why I created The Diva Energy Private Mentorship, and why I keep it limited to a maximum of 10 singers at a time.

 Why only 10 singers?

Depth over numbers.

It’s not a marketing trick, it’s a practical necessity.

With 10 singers, I can:

- Remember the specifics of your voice, not just your name
- Track your patterns over time and catch things you can’t see from inside your own experience
- Hold your long‑term vision while we deal with the day‑to‑day realities of your voice and life
- Offer honest feedback, even when it’s uncomfortable, because we’re not strangers passing in the night

In a large group, it’s easy to hide.
In a quick one‑off lesson, it’s easy to “perform your best self” and avoid the messy edges.

In a small, high‑touch mentorship like this, there’s room for:

- The days your voice feels incredible
- The days everything feels tight and wrong
- The big dreams you barely admit to yourself

That’s the level of intimacy and honesty we need if you want to move into true Diva Energy.

What actually happens inside the mentorship?

The exact format will depend on the season you’re in and what you’re working towards, but at its core, the mentorship focuses on three interlocking areas:

1. Voice & technique (with honesty, not perfectionism)

We work on:

- Your actual songs and material, not just abstract exercises
- Mix, range, stamina, colour, and dynamics
- How to support your voice so you can relax stylistically instead of fighting to “hold it together”

The aim is not a “perfect” sound.

The aim is a reliable, expressive instrument that can carry the truth of what you’re singing, whether that’s on a stage, in a studio, or in a room full of people you know.

2. Nervous system & mindset (so your body doesn’t betray you)

You can have all the technique in the world and still freeze if your nervous system has never been part of the work.

So we include:

- Tools to recognise your own stress responses
- Simple grounding, breath, and body practices you can actually use before you sing or perform
- Coaching around the old stories and criticism that spike your anxiety before you even start

When your body feels safer, your voice has permission to open.

3. Performance & artistic identity (who you are when you’re “on”)

This is where we bring it together:

- How you stand, move, and make eye contact
- How you connect with your material in a way that feels real, not acted
- How you pace a performance so it makes emotional sense, not just technical sense

We’re not just building a voice. We’re building a performer and a relationship with your own presence that will spill into the rest of your life and business.

The kinds of singers this is for

The Diva Energy Private Mentorship is for you if:

- You’re a business owner, leader, or professional who’s built something substantial in your work, but your singing voice doesn’t match the confidence you have elsewhere.
- You’ve always wanted to sing (or used to sing), but past comments, shame, or perfectionism have left you holding back.
- You have a real performance, recording, or personal milestone you’d love to move toward in the next 6–12 months, even if it feels a bit wild right now.
- You’re ready to invest time, energy and money into your development as an artist for you (even if no one else ever sees it), not just chase quick fixes.

It’s probably not for you if:

- You just want a couple of tips before karaoke and aren’t interested in deeper work.
- You’re not ready to be coached directly and compassionately.
- You want guarantees without doing the work.

What about Diva Energy VIP Days?

Alongside the ongoing mentorship, I also offer Diva Energy VIP Days.

These are one‑day, intensive private experiences where we:

- Diagnose what’s really happening with your voice and presence
- Work live on your material and the key Diva Energy shifts
- Create a practical 60–90 day plan for what you’ll do next

They’re ideal if:

- You have a big performance, event, or recording coming up and want focused support, or
- You want to experience working together deeply before stepping into longer mentorship

Sometimes a VIP Day is the right standalone step. Sometimes it becomes the beginning of a longer journey together. We decide that honestly, based on what you need and what I see.

How to know if this is your next step

You might be reading this and feeling a quiet, grounded “yes” in your body.

Not hype, not panic, just a recognition of:

“This is the level I’ve been craving. I don’t want to keep tinkering around the edges of my voice.”

If that’s you, here’s what to do next:

1. Notice what landed.
Read this post again with a pen in hand. Notice the phrases that hit you hardest. Those are clues.

2. Ask yourself what’s on your horizon.
Is there a show, event, recording, or personal milestone coming up in the next year where you want to feel different?

3. If your answer is yes, apply.
There’s a simple application for The Diva Energy Private Mentorship - a call where you can tell me about your experience, your goals, and what’s getting in the way.

From there,  If we’re both a yes, you’ll step into a container designed to carry you from “I hope I get through this” to “I am fully here, in my voice, in this moment”.

And if, as we talk, it turns out that a Diva Energy VIP Day is a better next step, I’ll say that.

Either way, you don’t have to keep trying to do this alone.
